Building A Bird Feeder

Building a bird feeder can be a fun and rewarding project.  There are many ways to build a bird feeder, from putting together a kit, to following a plan, to hammering some boards together.

The fun comes with watching the birds that come to eat your offerings.  Pay attention to which types of birds eat at which types of feeders. It will give you a better idea of the kind of feeder you will want to build.

There are many companies that offer a variety of kits or plans to build a bird feeder. Look over the options and decide what kind of effort you want to put into building your bird feeder. You can choose something from very simple to very elaborate.

Feeders are available in many styles.  Ground feeders, tray feeders, suet feeders, tube seeders, and corn feeders are just a few of the options you have.  Bird feeders are built in all sizes.  Make sure you allow room for the birds to perch while they eat.
